To enhance the realism of the simulation, I incorporated a physical steering wheel and pedals, providing users with a more immersive experience of being behind the wheel.
Utilizing Unity, C#, and Oculus Integration, as well as assets from the Unity Asset Store, I created a straightforward virtual reality driving simulator from scratch. The simulator aimed to teach novice drivers about the importance of being alert and attentive while on the road, reducing their chances of accidents or collisions. As part of my high school senior project, I embarked on a solo development journey that was both challenging and intriguing, ultimately earning an A+ grade. This project ignited my passion for coding, developing, and exploring the realm of XR interactions.
